Invest in Sun Peaks Mountain Resort Municipality

British Columbia, Canada

Sun Peaks is a resort community with 400+ year round residents, 1,500 winter residents and up to 5,000 tourists daily during the winter season. This is the ideal location to enhance your outdoor lifestyle.

Centrally located in the British Columbia Interior and only a 45 minute drive from the TNRD's largest city centre, Kamloops, Sun Peaks is the first ski resort as you travel east from Vancouver, BC, or Whistler, BC, via Coquihalla Highway 5 or the Fraser Canyon Highway 1.

Sun Peaks is one of the province's few mountain resort municipalities. It was incorporated on June 28, 2010. The municipality has a resident population of 371 people, with an additional 900 non-resident property owners.

Sun Peaks is a well thought out community that encourages pedestrian traffic. The village has been designed with a village stroll flanked on each side by a wide variety of commercial businesses to satisfy a visitor’s every need. Accommodations are available throughout the resort with bus service in the winter.

Sun Peaks is home to over 20 restaurants, pubs and cafés located in the heart of the village, as well as boutique shops for clothing, sporting equipment, gourmet chocolates, art, and souvenirs.

The key sector driving Sun Peaks' local economy continues to be the tourism industry, as many tourists and visitors travel great distances to experience all that this world-class ski resort has to offer.
