Invest in Green Lake

British Columbia, Canada

The Green Lake area is located approximately 45 kilometres northeast of one of the TNRD's major city centres, Clinton, and approximately 170 kilometres north of the TNRD's major city centre, Kamloops.

Green Lake has grown significantly with the development of new housing, and has a permanent residential base that consists mainly of retirees. The community is well known for the Green Lake Provincial Park that houses seven different campsites and picnic areas along its shores, as well as a number of cottages throughout the area. The low flushing rate of the lake and the chemical composition of its warm, shallow waters together create the greenish hue that gives the lake its name.

Green Lake is made up of 11 parcels of land. Six of these parcels have developed facilities. The open rangeland and mixed forests of Aspen and Lodgepole Pine found in Green Lake are typical of the Cariboo's landscape.

The community of Green Lake is home to a volunteer fire department which serves the fire protection area surrounding the area.

Given that Green Lake is a large tourist draw, the tourism sector continues to provide significantly to the area's local economy.
